About Joint Insights

Why?

It is the mission of Joint Insights to help people leverage different perspectives and new approaches to make sense of their situation and solve the challenges they are facing.

How?

Nourish transparency

The brutal truth puts us on the same page, and is most effective on moving us together in the same direction.

Keep flowing

Once you solve one problem, you expose the next one. Embrace that, and constantly seek to find out what the root issue is.

Write the dictionary

Always baseline understanding. Train and explain as necessary before applying a concept.

Treat problems, not symptoms

People are often likely discussing symptoms. If that’s all we work on, the problem doesn’t go away.

Who?

Rich Visotcky is President and founder of Joint Insights. Rich knows that by leveraging different perspectives, transparent information, and being open to new approaches people are empowered to move towards their goals through a new level of understanding of their situation.

Rich is a Professional Scrum Trainer and Steward with Scrum.org and a licensed Management 3.0 facilitator. The clients he has worked with span a variety of industries including finance, insurance, banking, healthcare, building systems and HVAC, oil and gas, manufacturing, power generation, and space exploration in companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to five person start-ups. Rich is an experienced professional trainer and consultant with a demonstrated history of connecting thousands of people with leaner, agile principles and practices.

A background in Computer Engineering from West Virginia University taught him to think systematically and identify right-sized solutions to the problems he faced. After a decade of software development, Rich saw the challenge of getting people to work openly together towards a common goal was often harder than the technical challenges he was working on. That led him to teaching people what he knew about building products and solving problems iteratively and incrementally.

When he’s not thinking about the complex systems of how people work and build things together, Rich can be found working on projects with his son, playing all manner of video and board games, exploring the world and it’s beer, or enjoying his wife’s laughter.
